About Us

Community Solutions for Health Equity (CSHE), a national program funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is a growing collaborative partnership between 11 community-based organizations across the United States who are working to mitigate healthcare systems barriers and practices that perpetuate health inequities in their local communities.
The CSHE program works to uplift community histories, viable solutions, and cultural priorities around wellbeing and health justice, to inform and influence the conditions changes that are necessary for equitable health care systems transformation.
The Cultural Wellness Center (CWC) located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the national program office of CSHE. CWC is a non-profit organization with 27 years’ experience in deep community engagement. The Cultural Wellness Center mission is to unleash the power of people to heal themselves and build community.
As the National Program Office (NPO) CWC provides and fosters access to frameworks, tools and approaches that fortify leadership development, community engagement and strategic direction to health care systems transformation.
CSHE is made up of thought leaders, activists, disruptors, change agents, coalition builders, educators, weavers and problem solvers, who eagerly put forth action to shift the paradigm, mindsets and behaviors that we believe will lead to conditions changes within their local health care eco-systems. We approach this work with an abundance mind set and elevate the value of the multi-cultural knowledge systems that are a part of our community.
